Jon Kokot

A former Navy pilot and Senate liaison, Jon spent years leading teams and interacting with legislators. He previously worked at Blackstone, Lazard, and Nominal Inc. He will graduate from Wharton in 2025 and holds a B.E. in Engineering from Vanderbilt University.

Julian Trajanson

Julian has over eight years of ML and software engineering experience. He was the first hire at Walmart's AI Center of Excellence and was previously the CTO of an AI sales co-pilot company, where he built the product from scratch. He holds a B.S. from Wharton.

Jack Ferguson

With over 50 years of experience on Capitol Hill, Jack is truly a master of the Senate. He was the Senate's youngest Chief of Staff for Chairman Ted Stevens. As a lobbyist, he has brokered high-profile and international deals with both sides of the aisle.

Mead Treadwell

A seasoned leader in both government and business, Mead served as Alaska's Lt. Governor and led the U.S. Arctic Research Commission. He helped found Digimarc and serves on the board of Venture Ad Astra. Mead holds a B.A. from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Nolan Smith

Nolan brings 10 years of software engineering expertise to Civic, as founding CTO of authentication company NuID, data scientist at Microsoft, and software engineer for Wolfram. He holds both his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from Vanderbilt University.

Megan Blackwood

As a former Legislative Aide in the Virginia State Senate, Megan was inspired to center her academic research on developing best practices to improve substantive representation through constituent service. She holds a B.A. from Virginia Commonwealth University and a M.A from University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, where she is currently completing her Ph.D. in Political Science.
